The CHYATEE Story

Chances are if you’ve been to the Peoples Bank location in Downtown Lancaster on North Queen Street, you’ve walked right past the CHYATEE store. Inside this retail wonderland of brightly colored clothing, accessories, gifts, and home goods, you’ll find a melding of old and new world wonders; a representation of the owner’s two cultures and her love for fashion.

This ethically made fashion label began in 2015 in Timbrel’s studio apartment in India as a way to combine her love for fashion, people, art, and culture. A brand with an ode to her South Asian background and North American upbringing. Every piece inside this Lancaster retail store is hand designed by the owner and then crafted by a talented team of artisans. Staying true to ancient forms of art with a focus on sustainability, the product’s material is a variety of handwoven khadi, organic cotton and silks, block printing fabrics, and durable natural fibers. The most unique is the collection of clothing and goods using zardozi work, and Iranian and Indian-subcontinent embroidery types.

Every piece in the CHYATEE collection is unique, vibrant, and designed with a heart full of love and dreams. Visit the CHYATEE store, support local small businesses, and experience for yourself a cultural journey of vibrant colors and bold statement pieces.
