The Casitas – Senior Living Website

case study

Company Overview

The Casitas is located in Irving Texas, centrally situated between Dallas and Fort Worth, and is a newly-built assisted living apartment community that provides thoughtfully designed comfortable and private suites. Being part of the community at The Casitas means feeling engaged, honored, and fulfilled, regardless of race, age, or physical or emotional challenges.

The old design for the senior living apartment website was built on older technology, Bootstrap 3, and outdated javascript which caused issues with SEO and page load rate. These technical issues were causing a lower page ranking for Google search. The website was limited to a floorplan, pricing, and contact information with little information about the surrounding community.

Solution & Impact

The company’s legacy website did not align with the organization’s brand and had significant user experience challenges including limited information on life in the Senior Apartment Community paired with a 15-second page load time and 90% bounce rate.

The website required a complete redesign and upgrade to WordPress CMS to address the technical issues and increase SEO. SEM Rush was installed and keywords/metadata were developed. External links and backlinks were built to drive more traffic to the website. A page of local attractions and information was developed. The use of high-quality imagery and catchy titles were adopted.
